Dear students, first of all we are glad       to     see you on our meeting!

Let we introduce to you our new course which is called “Regional Center of Endoscopic methods of Diagnostics and Minimally Invasive Surgery”.

 Modern medicine demand from doctors a fundamental knowledge about Endoscopic methods of Diagnostics and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

During last year’s scientific society created new types of operations and diagnostic procedures which can not perform in open approach.

Today doctors from Modern Clinic will be able to treat approximately 85% of diseases in Gynecology and General Surgery with laparoscopic equipments.

Also Endoscopic methods will be able to use in Abdominal and Thoracic Surgery, Urology, Traumatology, Orthopaedics and a lot of another part of medicine.

I think all students need to know a laparoscopic equipments, indications and contraindications to laparoscopic methods of Diagnostics and treatment.

We want to give not only theory – our aim is practical training.

In our course you will be able to get practical skills! First, you will train in special boxes on dry material, then – on piece of meat, then – you will be able to operate on animals (dogs, cats, pigs). And at the end of course you will be assistant for our doctors in Sumy Clinical Hospital.

We will pay great attention to motor skill and practical acquirement.

Our course consists of six sections:

1.      Endoscopic Techniques in Surgery and Gynecology.

2.      Gastroscopy

3.      Bronchoscopy

4.      Endoscopic methods of Diagnostics and Minimally Invasive Techniques of Treatment in Urology

5.      Endoscopic methods of Diagnostics and Minimally Invasive Techniques of Treatment in ENT- diseases.

6.      Arthroscopy

Teach time:

All sections will be taught during different time. Duration of Endoscopic course depends from type of sections and your year of study in Medical Institute.

v     If you choose sections which list below you study 45 hours approximately 1 time (2 hours) in week during 1 year (1st semester - from 1^st on October to end of December; 2nd semester – from February to end of May).

v     If you choose section “Endoscopic Techniques in Surgery and Gynecology” you study 360 hours.

(1st semester - from 1^st on October to end of December; 2nd semester – from February to end of May).

Cyclicity of lessons of your study will be depended from your year of study in Medical Institute.

·        If you are student of third year study you learn during 4 years (90 hours in year). Cyclicity of lessons is approximately 1 time (3 hours) in week.

·        If you are student of 4^th year study you learn during 3 years (120 hours in year). Cyclicity of lessons is approximately 3 time (3 hours) in 2 week.

·        If you are student of 5^th year study you learn during 2 years (180 hours in year). Cyclicity of lessons is approximately 2 time (3 hours) in week.

·        If you are student of 6^th year study you learn during 1 year (360 hours in year). Cyclicity of lessons will be created later.

All lessons of our Endoscopic course will be taught in comfortable time after your main course of Medical Institute.

Medical equipment and learning aids:

We have modern endoscopic equipments and special boxes for training.

The lessons will be taught in class-rooms on base of the Medical Institute.

We have study’s books, lectures and movies in English or Russian language (we teach you in English or Russian).

Estimated Cost:

Estimated Cost will be depended from your year of study in Medical Institute and kind of sections.

v     If you choose sections which list below you have to pay 300 EUR

v     If you choose section “Endoscopic Techniques in Surgery and Gynecology” you have to pay 400 EUR for 90 hours:

Official Certificate:

We will check your knowledge at the end of each section of Endoscopic course and if you learn lessons well we give you Certificate of Regional Center of Endoscopic methods of Diagnostics and Minimally Invasive Surgery (The Medical Institute of Sumy State University).
